His groundbreaking albums, iconic choreography, and innovative music videos transformed the entertainment industry and influenced generations of artists across genres.
All proceeds will fund impactful AULYP (Akron Urban League Young Professionals) events in 2026, focusing on community enrichment, leadership development, and cultural education.

What is included with the purchase?
If getting the regular ticket; the purchase is just for the ticket. Purchase of snacks, popcorn and drinks must happen through the concession stand prior to the movie start.
If you get the deluxe ticket; it includes a small popcorn & drink, with the option to upgrade to a medium popcorn & drink.
What time does the movie begin?
You are able to enter the theater at 5:30pm and the movie will start PROMPTLY at 6pm. There are NO previews before the beginning of the movie, so make sure you are there prior to 6PM to catch the beginning of the film.
Is the event kid-friendly?
Yes—this is a PG-13 film, so it’s generally appropriate for teens and older children, but we recommend parents use their discretion for younger viewers.
Where does the money go?
The money goes to the Akron Urban League Young Professionals to be used for event planning for the 2026 calendar.
Refund policy for tickets?
All sales are final. You do have the option to transfer your tickets to someone else after purchase by forwarding them your check-in QR code. They will NOT be admitted without that QR code, so make sure you have sent it to them prior to the event. The QR code will be sent to you on the day of the event.
